Aerospace Engineering and 3rd grade

Third graders completed a unit on Aerospace Engineering.  We learned about drag and how to use it to our advantage when designing a parachute.  We tested canopy materials, canopy sizes, and suspension line lengths to find the best way to build a parachute.  Then the students built their own and we had a big final testing day!
