Worldwide Hour of Code and UTES

Our Little Longhorns have participated in the Hour of Code with other students worldwide!  From PreK-5th grade, every student learned and practiced coding!  Our students logged on and followed each prompt which led them to harder and harder challenges.  Our older students also used Code Academy and Khan Academy to practice higher level skills.  All students have an account and can log in from any computer or tablet to continue learning.  Look for details from your classroom teacher about that.

We want every student to be exposed to programming languages even at these young ages.  They just might be the one to develop the next generation of inventions!  It's very exciting for me to be able to watch them learn and discover in this field.  I'm so proud of what they have accomplished!
